Privacy Policy
Related policies
This Privacy Policy explains how Glenfield Golf Limited collects and uses personal information.
It should be read alongside our separate:
- Cookie Policy, which explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our website and allows you to manage your preferences; and
- Terms & Conditions, which govern purchases, deliveries, cancellations, returns and use of our website.
Payments
Payments are processed through WooPayments, which is built in partnership with Stripe.
When you make a payment, your payment information is submitted securely to the payment-processing environment used by WooPayments and Stripe. Hosted payment fields are used, which means that complete card numbers and card security codes are not stored on our website or web server.
We receive limited payment and transaction information needed to:
- confirm and administer your payment;
- process refunds;
- identify unsuccessful or disputed transactions;
- prevent fraud and misuse;
- maintain accounting and tax records; and
- respond to payment enquiries.
This information may include your name, billing address, payment status, transaction identifier and limited details identifying the payment method.
We process this information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with our legal obligations and pursue our legitimate interests in preventing fraud and managing transactions.
WooPayments, Automattic and Stripe may process your information under their own privacy notices and contractual arrangements.
Delivery and customs
For UK deliveries, we normally share the information needed to fulfil your order with Royal Mail.
For international deliveries, we normally use DHL. We may share your information with the relevant DHL company, its delivery partners, customs brokers and customs or tax authorities where this is required to deliver and clear your order.
Delivery information may include:
- your name;
- delivery address;
- telephone number and email address;
- order or parcel reference;
- the contents, value and weight of the parcel; and
- information required for customs, duties or import documentation.
We use this information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you and, where applicable, to comply with customs, tax and import or export requirements.
Royal Mail or DHL may contact you directly with delivery updates or questions relating to your parcel. Their use of personal information is also governed by their respective privacy notices.
Cookies and Complianz
We use Complianz to operate our cookie banner, manage cookie preferences and generate our separate Cookie Policy.
Our Cookie Policy contains the current details of:
- the cookies and similar technologies used on the website;
- the organisations that may place or access them;
- their purposes and durations;
- whether they are essential or optional; and
- how you can accept, reject or withdraw your consent.
Except where a cookie is strictly necessary, cookies requiring consent will not be used unless you make an affirmative choice through the cookie banner.
Complianz may place necessary cookies to remember and respect your choices. Where its Records of Consent feature is enabled, it may also store a consent identifier, your selected categories, a timestamp, your region and an anonymised version of your IP address so that we can demonstrate and respect your choices.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the Manage Cookie Preferences link on our website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before it was withdrawn.
Organisations with whom we share information
Where necessary, we may share personal information with:
- WooPayments, Automattic and Stripe, for payment processing, fraud prevention, refunds and payment disputes;
- Royal Mail, for UK delivery services;
- DHL, its delivery partners and customs brokers, for international deliveries;
- customs, tax and regulatory authorities where required for international shipping;
- our website hosting, security, backup and technical-support providers;
- email, customer-service and communication providers used by the business;
- accountants, insurers, solicitors and other professional advisers;
- law-enforcement agencies, courts, regulators or public authorities where disclosure is legally required; and
- a purchaser, investor or adviser involved in a proposed sale, restructuring or transfer of the business.
We only disclose information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
International transfers
Some organisations involved in operating the website, processing payments or completing international deliveries may process information outside the United Kingdom.
In particular, WooPayments and its payment partners may use international systems, while DHL may need to send delivery and customs information to the country in which an international order is being delivered.
Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for such transfers, we will rely on an applicable UK adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
You may contact us if you would like further information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information.
