Inside the Glenfield Studio
Where Ideas, Materials and Craftsmanship Come Together.
There’s a lot that happens before a Glenfield head cover ever reaches the golf course.
Inside our studio, every piece begins much the same way: with an idea, a pattern and a selection of materials laid out on the workbench.
From there, it passes through the hands of our makers—cut, shaped, stitched, embroidered and finished one stage at a time.
We wanted to take you behind the scenes and show you what goes into making a Glenfield.
It Starts on the Cutting Table
Every head cover begins as individual pieces.

Patterns are carefully positioned before each panel is cut from our selected materials. Different textures, colours, piping and details can completely change the character of a design, so this stage is about more than simply cutting to shape.
It’s where the finished piece starts to take form.
And when we’re creating something bespoke, it’s also where your choices begin to become something real.
Materials Make the Difference
Smooth finishes. Quilted panels. Textured faux leathers. Contrasting piping.
We spend a lot of time experimenting with combinations because the smallest change can transform a head cover.

Some designs are deliberately understated. Others are made to stand out in the bag.
Either way, we want the materials to feel considered—not simply chosen because they’re available.
Cut. Shape. Build.
Once the panels are prepared, each component starts its journey through the studio.
Pieces are cut and trimmed before being shaped using specialist machinery and prepared for construction.

There isn’t one machine that produces a finished Glenfield head cover. It’s a sequence of processes, with a skilled artisan involved at every stage.
That’s an important distinction to us. Glenfield is made by real people who over sea each stage.
Made at the Machine
This is where the flat pieces on the cutting table begin to become recognisably Glenfield.
Panels are brought together, piping is carefully guided around curves and each seam is sewn into position.
It takes control and experience—particularly around the curved sections where a few millimetres can affect how the finished cover sits.

The close-up details might seem small.
We think they’re everything.
Finished by Hand
Making something well often comes down to the things you barely notice.
- A clean seam.
- An accurately positioned panel.
- A carefully trimmed edge.
- Piping that follows the shape perfectly.
Those details are checked and finished by hand throughout the process.

It’s slower than mass production.
That’s rather the point.
From Our Studio to Your Golf Bag
Eventually, the individual pieces come together.
What started as rolls of material, paper patterns and an idea on a workbench becomes a finished head cover—made to protect your clubs, but designed to add something personal to your bag too.

And for our custom pieces, that journey becomes even more individual.
Choose your colours. Add your initials. Embroider a name. Add a logo. Create something completely your own.
We make it here.
You make it yours.
Designed by You. Made by Glenfield.
