Why We Started Glenfield
From the boxing ring to the golf course.
Glenfield didn’t begin with golf.
Our background is in custom boxing shorts, where for years we’ve worked in a world built around individuality. Fighters want to walk into the ring wearing something that represents them — their colours, their name, their story and their identity.

We saw how powerful personalisation could be.
Then we looked at golf.
And we saw an opportunity to do something different.
Bringing Personalisation to Golf
Golf is full of personality, but so much of the equipment still looks the same.
We felt there was room for a head cover that offered more than a choice between a handful of standard designs.
Something you could genuinely make your own.

Choose the shape. Choose the material. Pick the colours and piping. Add your initials, your name, a club crest, company logo or a completely bespoke embroidered design.
But there was another part of the idea that mattered just as much to us: we wanted to make it here in Britain.
British Made Matters
Glenfield was never intended to be a product designed here and manufactured thousands of miles away.
We wanted to build a British manufacturing brand.
One that combines traditional skills such as pattern cutting, sewing and embroidery with modern computer-aided design and personalisation.
There’s something special about knowing where something has been made and understanding the work that has gone into it.
For us, Made in Britain isn’t simply something to put on the label.
It’s part of the reason Glenfield exists.
Two Years in the Making
Glenfield has taken more than two years to develop.
We’ve invested over £50,000 into machinery, equipment, materials, development and learning the processes needed to make the product we originally imagined.
And we’ve made more than 300 samples along the way.
Some worked.
Plenty didn’t.
But every one taught us something.
We’ve changed patterns by millimetres, altered curves, tested different shapes, experimented with materials and completely reworked designs because they didn’t sit on a club exactly as we wanted them to.
What looks like a simple head cover from the outside has involved hundreds of decisions behind the scenes.
Learning Something New
Embroidery has been a huge part of that journey.
We didn’t simply want to put a name onto an existing product. We wanted to understand how embroidery could become part of the design itself.
That has meant learning how different materials behave, how designs need to be digitised, how thread colours interact with fabrics and how detailed logos and artwork translate from a computer screen onto a finished head cover.

Alongside that came pattern development, construction, fit, different club shapes, materials, piping, linings and countless other details.
We’re still learning.
We hope we always will be.
More Than a Head Cover Brand
Our ambition for Glenfield goes much further than selling individual head covers online.
We want to work with golfers, golf clubs, societies, golf tours, corporate events and brands to create pieces that are genuinely individual.
Imagine your club crest beautifully embroidered onto a British-made head cover.
A set created specifically for an annual golf tour.
Personalised covers for a society day.
A corporate gift people actually want to keep.
Or simply your own initials on a head cover designed in exactly the colours you wanted.
That’s the market we believe in.
The Beginning, Not the Finished Story
After two years, more than 300 samples and over £50,000 invested, launching Glenfield feels like a significant milestone.
But it doesn’t feel like the end of the development process.
It feels like the beginning.
We want golfers to influence where Glenfield goes next. New shapes, new materials, new embroidery ideas, club collaborations and designs we probably haven’t thought of yet.
We started with everything we’d learned about individuality and craftsmanship in boxing and brought that thinking into golf.
Now we want to see where golfers take it.
British made. Individually yours.
Designed by you. Made by Glenfield.
